1. General meeting notice deadline (AGM or SGM)

2. Council minutes distribution deadline

6. Does the 3/4 vote pass?
Special levies, bylaw amendments, and other section 108 and 128 resolutions need three quarters of the votes cast. Abstentions are not votes cast.

How the calculators count
Each calculator applies one rule from the Strata Property Act or the Standard Bylaws, then adds a stated safety margin, because a deadline missed by a day can invalidate a meeting or hand an owner a complaint.

If quorum is not reached within half an hour, the meeting stands adjourned to the same day and time the following week, and if quorum is still missing half an hour into that meeting, the eligible voters present form the quorum, unless your bylaws say otherwise (section 48). Council meetings have their own quorum under Standard Bylaw 16: two members for a council of two to four, three for five or six, and four for seven.

How much notice does a strata AGM need in BC?
At least two weeks written notice under section 45 of the Strata Property Act. Notice sent by mail is deemed received four days after mailing under section 61, so mailed AGM packages need to go out roughly three weeks before the meeting to be safe. How soon must strata council minutes be distributed in BC?
Owners must be informed of the minutes of a council meeting within two weeks of the meeting under Standard Bylaw 19, whether or not the minutes have been approved yet.
What is quorum for a strata general meeting in BC?
Eligible voters holding at least one third of the strata corporation's votes, present in person or by proxy, under section 48 of the Strata Property Act. For a 100-lot strata that is 34 votes.
How is a 3/4 vote counted in a BC strata?
A 3/4 vote passes when at least three quarters of the votes cast by eligible voters are in favour. Abstentions do not count as votes cast. So with 40 votes cast, 30 must be in favour.
